“Do you house families?”
We do have two rooms and a shared bathroom for moms with children. These are located inside the Women’s Shelter, so unfortunately, we currently have no place for dads to stay with their children. We ask that families are first referred to Oroville Resource Center for intake into the Family Shelter. This is an emergency shelter, and Oroville Resource Center uses enhanced case management to work with families to get them into another program or transitional housing as quickly as possible.
“What if I just want shower and clean clothes?”
The Mission is open to provide showers from 2PM to 5PM daily. We provide the use of a towel, toiletries and a change of clothing. We encourage people to come back at 7PM for dinner.
Clothing vouchers are also available once every 3 months at Oroville Resource Center M-F 10-4.
How does someone join the New Life Recovery Program?
New Life Recovery applications are available through this website or in person at Oroville Resource Center. An interview is conducted and a treatment team convenes to approve applications on a weekly basis. There is no fee for this program, but it does include a vocational training component. You will be required to volunteer and one of our goals is to promote job readiness at completion.
